This event was based upon the event Cheeseburgers In Paradise by TwoCampers & Bspeng held February 22, 2003. It was my first geocaching event and I've always felt it was one of the best events I ever attended. Part of that event was a food drive and I've always thought that the food drive concept combined with a geocaching event was a worthy tradition to carry on so here is my attempt at continuing the tradition.
While the event is all about warming up after a day of caching, filling your tummy with ymmy food and sharing your adventures with fellow cachers letsnot forget those who go to be hungry, lets join together and celebrate our good fortune and bring a little something to share with thos less fortunate.
It's not required but I ask that each person bring at least one non-parishable item to drop off at the collection table.
I'm still working out the details but your donation will either go to either the Greater Chicago Food Depository which services Cook County Illinois or Northern Illinois Food Bank which serves DuPage County Illinois.
